Rogue Writer’s Storytelling Lab: Nurturing the Next Generation of Filmmakers

In the heart of Batu Pahat, a group of 30 young writers recently embarked on a transformative journey at the Rogue Writer’s Storytelling Lab. Over three immersive days, these aspiring filmmakers delved deep into the art of storytelling, laying the foundation for their first short films.

The lab was a vibrant blend of creativity and innovation. Participants explored essential storytelling elements, character personas, and story structures. They were introduced to the groundbreaking use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance their storytelling ideas and visualize storyboards, opening up new realms of creative possibilities.

One of the standout features of the workshop was its focus on the basics of film production. Participants learned how to draft and design pitch decks, a crucial skill for presenting their stories and ideas. This preparation culminated in presentations to a panel of three jurors, setting the stage for the next phase of their journey.
